Water main break closes eastbound lane, intersections of Henrico road

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A water main break resulted in the eastbound lane and intersections of Gayton Road in Henrico County being closed on Thursday morning.
On Thursday, Aug. 21, Henrico County announced that the eastbound lane of Gayton Road between Monmouth Drive and Cedarbluff Drive was closed due to a water main break.

According to the county, flagging operations are in effect to assist with traffic.
Gayton's intersections with Monmouth Drive and Cedarbluff Drive are also closed to traffic, and the county advises drivers to use Chauncey Lane and Pump Road as detours.
Drivers should expect delays and are asked to avoid the area.
All lanes are expected to reopen later this evening.
