Woman fighting for her life after being hit by vehicle near Henrico intersection

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A woman is fighting for her life after police said she was hit by a vehicle near an intersection in Henrico County in the early morning hours on Thursday.

According to the Henrico County Police Division, officers responded to the intersection of Westhampton Glen Drive and Patterson Avenue for a crash in the early morning hours on Thursday, Sept. 4.

When officers arrived, they found a woman in her mid-20s who had been hit by a vehicle and had life-threatening injuries. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Police said the driver of the vehicle stayed on the scene, and neither speed nor alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash.
