Woman hospitalized after being pulled from James River in Richmond
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A woman has been hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after police said she was pulled from the James River early Saturday morning.
According to the Richmond Police Department, at around 2:12 a.m. on Saturday, May 10, officers assisted Richmond Fire Department crews at Brander Street near the James River for a report of a person in the water.
According to police, Richmond residents threw the woman a temporary line of their clothes. When officials arrived, they tossed her a rope and launched a boat for rescue.
She was taken to the hospital, where she is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
