Woman injured in Northside Richmond shooting

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A woman was injured in a shooting in Richmond's Northside early Monday morning, according to police.

At 4:25 a.m. on Monday, March 31, officers with the Richmond Police Department were called to the 3100 block of Woodrow Avenue for the report of a person shot.

When officers arrived, they were told by dispatch that a woman had just arrived at a local hospital in a private vehicle with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Police said detectives determined that the woman was shot at the same location as the report of a person shot.
