Woman shot, injured near Richmond’s East End

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A woman was shot and injured near Richmond's East End in the early hours on Thursday.
At 2:50 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18, officers with the Richmond Police Department responded to the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Medical Center for a report of a shooting less than an hour after responding there for a separate, unrelated stabbing.
When officers arrived, they found a woman with an apparent gunshot wound, which is considered non-life-threatening.
Police said the victim reported that the shooting occurred along the 1600 block of N. 23rd Street in the Peter Paul neighborhood near Richmond's East End.
