1 seriously injured, 3 hospitalized after 4-vehicle crash on I-95 in Greensville

GREENSVILLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- One person has been left with serious injuries and three others have been taken to the hospital after a four-vehicle crash took place on Interstate 95 in Greensville on Monday.

According to Virginia State Police, the crash happened at 2:38 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 22 near Mitchell's Mill Road (mile marker 3) on I-95.

One driver "slammed into the back of another vehicle" which then caused it to hit two other vehicles, per state police.

The at fault driver was flown to VCU with serious injuries and the other drivers were taken to a hospital in Emporia.

The crash is under investigation as of the time of reporting.
