18-year-old arrested for allegedly possessing firearm during a traffic stop

PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- An 18-year-old man was arrested late Friday evening after police said he was found with a firearm during a traffic stop in Petersburg.
At about 11 p.m. on Friday, May 9, officers with the Petersburg Bureau of Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Wyndham Street and S. Crater Road area.

Police said 18-year-old Raymond Russell had a concealed weapon and he was taken into custody.
Russell has ben charged with carrying a concealed weapon and is currently being held at Riverside Regional Jail.
