20-year-old arrested after ‘road rage’ shooting on Hull Street Road
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged with malicious wounding in relation to a "road rage" shooting that took place on Hull Street Road last month.
Officers with the Chesterfield County Police Department responded to the report of a shooting in the 10800 block of Hull Street Road at 11:40 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25.
An investigation determined that two individuals were involved in a "road rage incident" while traveling east on Hull Street Road towards the intersection of Speeks Drive, according to police.
Authorities said a suspect vehicle pulled to the right of another vehicle near the intersection, and the suspect fired a gun at the other vehicle. The suspect then left the scene, and the victim was left with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, police said.

The suspect in the shooting has been identified by police as 20-year-old Darren R. Bailey Jr., who was arrested on Tuesday, July 8.
Police said Bailey has been charged with shooting into an occupied vehicle, malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm while under a protective order and shooting at a vehicle.
