23 guns and nearly $1 million worth of narcotics seized by Virginia State Police

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Virginia State Police seized over 26 pounds of narcotics, 23 firearms and one explosive device during its ongoing statewide investigation this week.
In partnership with several federal and local agencies, state police seized one explosive and recovered 23 firearms during investigations from July 3 to July 9, valued at $11,500.
Authorities also seized 26.1 pounds during this time, which they said would have been worth $939,307.
This reportedly would've included 16.2 pounds of cocaine, 7.4 pounds of methamphetamine, 3.6 ounces of fentanyl, 2.2 pounds of marijuana and 1.2 ounces of crack cocaine.
State police said they seized $164,430 in cash during narcotics investigations.
49 gaming-related tips were placed with police, with a total of 1,628 to date. Meanwhile, officials received 14 new human trafficking tips, totaling 1,071 to date.
There are 205 cases investigated or currently under investigation, and 66 victims have been identified and offered services, according to state police.

"By working in close collaboration with local, state, and federal agencies, law enforcement continues to disrupt criminal enterprises and safeguard communities."
