Man arrested after shooting, barricade incident in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A person is in custody after a shooting and barricade incident in Chesterfield early Saturday morning.
On Saturday, April 11, at around 2:30 a.m. Chesterfield police responded to the 20500 block of Southlawn Avenue for reports of a shooting.
Once on scene, officers attempted to speak with a person inside the home, where neighbors claim they saw someone go into after shots were fired. The man refused to exit the home, resulting in the SWAT team being called.
A Chesterfield officer stated that eventually, the man came out of the house, which led to his arrest.
There were no injuries reported, and it is believed to be an isolated incident, so there is no threat to the community.
