24-year-old man charged in connection to bomb threat against Petersburg DMV
PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- A 24-year-old man has been charged in connection to a bomb threat that police said was made against a Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) location in Petersburg on Tuesday.
At 1:07 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, officers with the Petersburg Bureau of Police were called to the DMV located at 120 Wagner Road for the report of a man who was making threats to bomb the facility.
When officers arrived, police said they found the suspect, identified as 24-year-old Mortatha Ahmed. He was reportedly taken into custody without incident.
Ahmed faces the charges of threat to bomb and disorderly conduct and was held at Riverside Regional Jail without bond.
