One person killed in crash on I-95 North in Hanover
HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- One person is dead after a crash on Interstate 95 North in Hanover County on Thursday morning.
According to the Virginia State Police, the crash involved two tractor-trailers and an SUV near mile marker 97 on I-95, just before the Doswell exit.
Details are limited at this time, but Virginia State Police confirmed that at least one person was killed in the crash.
As of about 8:30 a.m on Thursday, the Virginia Department of Transportation said traffic backups were about seven miles. Multiple lanes were blocked for about 90 minutes before reopening at 10:05 a.m.
No further information is available as of the time of reporting. Virginia State Police said they are working to notify next of kin and are actively working the crash.
