245 pounds of narcotics, 10 guns seized during Virginia State Police investigations in late November

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Virginia State Police seized roughly 245 pounds of narcotics and 10 guns during investigations from Nov. 19 through Dec. 2.

From Nov. 19 through Dec. 2, Virginia State Police, in partnership with federal and local agencies, recovered 10 guns, valued at $5,500 and 505 controlled substance pills.

During that period, Virginia State Police seized a total of 245.3 pounds of narcotics, which denied the revenue of $3.38 million. The following narcotics were included:

  • Cocaine: 20.5 pounds
  • Marijuana: 172.6 pounds
  • Methamphetamine: 39 pounds
  • Psilocybin: 2.9 pounds
  • Ketamine: 2.3 pounds
  • Fentanyl: 4.6 pounds
  • Fentanyl pills: 505
  • THC edibles: 24 pounds
  • THC vapes: 3,748

Police also seized $22,541 in cash.

In addition, Virginia State Police received 18 gaming-related tips, making for 1,971 total to date.

Police also received 26 new human trafficking tips, totaling 1,372 to date. There were reportedly 208 cases investigated or currently under investigation.

Seventy-five survivors were identified and offered services, according to officials.
