Two people, two dogs are displaced after house fire in Albemarle

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Two people and two dogs are displaced after a house fire in Albemarle County on Tuesday morning.

On Tuesday, April 7, at 10:42 a.m., crews from the Albemarle County Fire Rescue responded to the 2600 block of Cardinal Ridge Road for reports of a structure fire.

Once on scene, crews found fire coming from the roof of a two-story house. The two residents evacuated with their two dogs without injury.

An official stated that friends and family are assisting the displaced residents.

The Albemarle County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
