25-year-old man riding Harley-Davidson motorcycle dies following crash in Hanover County
HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A Chesterfield man riding a motorcycle died Sunday evening after officials said he ran off a Hanover road, hitting a mailbox and fence.
At 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 20, deputies with the Hanover County Sheriff's Office responded to the 7200 block of Walnut Grove Road in the Mechanicsville area of Hanover County for a motorcycle crash.
According to officials, the preliminary investigation has revealed that 25-year-old Tyler Lowe, of Chesterfield County's Midlothian area, was riding a 2006 Harley-Davidson west on Walnut Grove Road when the motorcycle ran off the left side of the road, hitting a mailbox and fence. Lowe was reportedly thrown from the motorcycle.
According to the sheriff's office, Lowe was pronounced dead at the scene by Hanover County Fire and EMS.
Officials continue to investigate.
