28-year-old woman identified as victim in Richmond homicide on Fairfield Avenue

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A 28-year-old woman has been identified as the victim in a homicide on Fairfield Avenue in Richmond on Sunday.

The Richmond Police Department has identified 28-year-old Keyonna Ford, of Richmond, as the victim in a homicide that took place on Fairfield Avenue in Richmond on Sunday, April 27.

At around 2:42 p.m. on Sunday, Richmond Police officers were called to the 2100 block of Fairfield Avenue for the report of a person down.

When officers arrived on scene, they found Ford in a residence with a gunshot wound. According to police, she was taken to a local hospital where she later died due to her injury.
