3 people hospitalized, others displaced after Richmond house fire
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Three senior adults were hospitalized and nine others were displaced after Richmond firefighters responded to a house fire over the weekend.
The fire occurred on Sunday, Nov. 16 at a residence on Larchmont Lane. A spokesperson for the Richmond Fire Department said crews arrived at the scene and spotted heavy smoke and flames showing from a one-and-a-half story Cape Cod home.
According to initial reports, nine people were displaced and three others were transported to both Chippenham and MCV hospitals.
Officials told 8News that the home served as, "some type of boarding house for seniors."
The Red Cross was called to the location, however, there is no word yet on the extent of the reported injuries.
