33-year-old man dead following two-vehicle crash in Amelia County

AMELIA COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A 33-year-old man is dead following a two-vehicle crash that occurred in Amelia County Sunday evening.
At 6:03 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 7, Virginia State Police said a crash occurred on Chesdin Lake Road near the intersection with Namozine Road in Amelia County.
According to police, a 2016 Ford F-150 pickup truck crossed the centerline and hit a Ford F-450 pickup truck head-on.
The driver of the F-150, 33-year-old Jacob S. Barnes, of Amelia County, died at the scene, according to officials.
Police said the driver of the F-450 was injured and was taken to a local hospital.
Officials continue to investigate the crash.
