35-year-old man killed in head-on crash in Spotsylvania
SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A 35-year-old man is dead following a Thursday afternoon head-on crash in Spotsylvania County. At about 1:40 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, deputies with the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office were called to the area of Patriot Highway and Orchard Ridge Drive for report of a crash. The office's preliminary investigation determined that 35-year-old William Aimino was moving north on Patriot Highway in a 2024 Chevrolet Colorado when he crossed the centerline into southbound traffic. According to authorities, he then hit a 2005 International flatbread truck head-on. Eight VADOC K-9s given body armor in honor of K-9 stabbed to death protecting handler Aimino died at the scene.
