36-year-old man shot, killed outside Richmond church
 
                                RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A 36-year-old man was shot and killed outside of a Richmond church Wednesday afternoon.
Just before 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29, officers with the Richmond Police Department were called to Fifth Baptist Church, located in the 1400 block of West Cary Street, for a report of a person shot.
When officers arrived, they found 36-year-old Kwaivon Dejesus of Richmond in the church's parking lot with a gunshot wound.
He was taken to the local hospital, where he later died.
 
Sources familiar with the incident told 8News that Dejesus was shot following an argument.
Police added that the investigation indicates there was an altercation between Dejesus and another unidentified man.
