40-year-old man dead after shooting on Mosby Street in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A 40-year-old man is dead following a shooting on Mosby Street in Richmond's East End on Friday.
At 10:47 p.m. on Friday, July 18, Richmond Police officers were called to the 600 block of Mosby Street for a report of a person shot. Once officers arrived on scene, they found a man down on the ground with a gunshot wound.
The victim, identified as 40-year-old Elwood Robinson Jr., of Richmond, was taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
According to the Richmond Police Department, the medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
