The flames, carried by the wind, also caused exterior damage to another neighboring home. Per officials, this damage was limited to the siding and gutters of that home.

An 8News viewer shared a video showing what appears to be smoke pouring from the scene of this fire, which was visible from an area overpass.

Thankfully, no one was hurt. However, five people were displaced by the fire's damage, according to a spokesperson with Chesterfield County Fire and EMS. They are being assisted by the Red Cross.

The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.

"Because of the dry and windy conditions today, we encourage you to avoid all outdoor burning and please make sure you dispose of things like cigarette butts properly," officials said Tuesday.
