75-year-old driver dead after two-vehicle crash in Henrico
HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A 75-year-old driver has died after a two-vehicle crash in Henrico County on Wednesday morning.
At around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18, officers with the Henrico County Police Division responded to the intersection of John Rolfe Parkway and Gayton Road for a report of a two-vehicle crash.
When officers arrived, they found two vehicles -- a Toyota Sienna and a Honda Insight -- had crashed into each other.
Both drivers were taken to area hospitals for life-threatening injuries, according to police.
The driver of the Honda Insight -- identified as 75-year-old Edmund White Creekmore Jr. of Henrico -- died from his injuries on Wednesday evening.
An initial investigation reveals that the Toyota Sienna was heading north on John Rolfe Parkway and was approaching Gayton Road, while Creekmore was traveling south on John Rolfe Parkway.
Creekmore was trying to make a left turn onto Gayton Road at the time of the crash.
