8News celebrates National Weatherperson’s Day with Mad Science of Central Virginia

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- 8News celebrated National Weatherperson's Day on Wednesday with Mad Science of Central Virginia by trying out some weather-related experiments.

In the studio on Wednesday, Feb. 5, StormTracker8 Meteorologists Matt DiNardo and Jacqueline Waters met with Anastasiya Rogatnik and Barabara Bursetein, co-owners of Mad Science of Central Virginia to try out experiments related to weather phenomena.

The group made "snow" and saw the power of static electricity, or "lightning" by using a Vam de Graaff generator.
