8News gets sneak peek of Ashland’s Grand Illumination event

ASHLAND, Va. (WRIC) -- 8News got a visit from a special guest on Tuesday to talk about Ashland's upcoming Grand Illumination event happening this weekend.

8News anchor Delaney Hall and StormTracker8 Meteorologist Jessica Kirk were joined by Louise Keeton, director of operations with the Downtown Ashland Association, to discuss what people can expect.

"It is the beginning of our whole Light Up the Tracks season," Keeton said. "That is six weeks of holiday events, right here in Ashland, Virginia."

People can head to Ashland Town Hall, at 121 Thompson Street, on Saturday, Nov. 22, from 3 to 6 p.m. while dressed in their most sparkling attire to enjoy food, vendors and more -- with the tree lighting to begin at 5 p.m. sharp.
