8News talks with Sportable about upcoming River City Classic tournament

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- 8News got a visit from a special guest on Tuesday to talk about the River City Classic, a wheelchair basketball tournament coming to Henrico County this weekend.

8News anchors Autumn Childress and Madison Moore were joined by Forrest Lodge, the director of strategic partnerships at Sportable, to discuss what people can expect.

"It just allows us to put our athletes, and those that travel in, on a platform to showcase their athleticism, their competitive spirit and the community that kind of comes around our events," Lodge said.

People can head to the Henrico Sports & Events Center on Saturday, Jan. 31, and Sunday, Feb. 1, to watch the 24-team tournament, which will feature adult and youth teams from up and down the east coast.
