‘A Dream Outside My Body’ exhibition opens at Visual Arts Center of Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Visual Arts Center of Richmond will host an opening reception for a new exhibition, "A Dream Outside My Body," Friday evening.

The opening reception will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 7, at the Visual Arts Center of Richmond's True F. Luck Gallery. It will be free and open to the public.

"A Dream Outside My Body" is an exhibition that showcases a variety of disciplines, including ceramics, paper, woodcarving, illustration, painting, photography and sculpture.

The exhibition will be open through Jan. 11, 2026, according to the center's website.

The Visual Arts Center of Richmond said central themes among the work of the participating artists are: jewelry as talisman, jewelry as an extension of the makers' or wearers' identity and the application of "jewelry thinking" to other materials and disciplines.
