Albemarle County teen arrested in relation to May shooting

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- An Albemarle County teenager was arrested in connection with a shooting that took place at Brookdale Apartments in May.

A 17-year-old was arrested in connection with the shooting that occurred on May 24, outside of the Brookdale Apartment Community located on Country Green Road.

According to a release from the Albemarle County Police Department, multiple vehicles and residential dwellings were hit by gunfire during the incident.

However, there were no reported injuries.

Police said the teenager was charged with attempted malicious wounding, shooting from a vehicle and gang participation.

They are currently being held at the Blue Ridge Juvenile Detention Center, and the incident remains under investigation.
