Body of missing 61-year-old man found at Shenandoah National Park

PAGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The body of a missing 61-year-old man last seen near Lewis Falls on Saturday was found following a nearly three-day search at Shenandoah National Park.
According to a spokesperson for the park, a search was underway for 61-year-old Robert "Bob" Bieri, of Severna Park, Maryland, who was reported missing to park rangers on the evening of Saturday, July 5.
Officials said Bieri was last seen off-trail in the area of Lewis Falls on Saturday. He was reportedly wearing a short-sleeved red shirt, green shorts, a fanny pack, glasses and tennis shoes.

According to the spokesperson, Shenandoah National Park activated a full-scale search operation in the late evening on Saturday.
The search was reportedly being led by Shenandoah National Park Search and Rescue personnel with the help of the Virginia Department of Emergency Management, Virginia State Police and several other agencies.
At 5 p.m. on Monday, a spokesperson for Shenandoah National Park said search teams had found Bieri's body at around noon on Monday, July 7 near Lewis Falls.
