Brick House Diner hosts fundraiser for loved ones after sudden death of employee

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Brick House Diner in Chesterfield County is hosting a Grill and Give Fundraiser in memory of employee Shannon Bennett after her sudden death.

According to Brick House Diner, Bennett died suddenly on Feb. 11 at 27 years old. She was reportedly seven months pregnant at the time, and her daughter survived.

Bennett was described by the diner as being "a dedicated employee and friend of 12 years."

A fundraiser will be held for her loved ones at the diner, located at 13520 Midlothian Turnpike, from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 2.

The diner said burgers will be $10 and additional contributions will be accepted. A candlelit vigil will follow the event.
