Bright Smiles for Babies to offer free baby teeth protection in Chesterfield
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — Babies aged between six months and younger than three years old can get their teeth protected for free next week in North Chesterfield.
The Chesterfield Health District will host Bright Smiles for Babies on Thursday, Oct. 23, from 1 to 4 p.m. at 302 Turner Road, Suite M. The fluoride varnish program will help prevent cavities in babies, according to a release from the district.
At the event, a nurse will administer a protective coating to baby teeth that will last up to six months, the release said.
"We are bringing this Virginia Department of Health program back to meet the needs of people who otherwise can’t afford preventive dental care," said health educator Yenifer Jerez.
Health officials said to bring your insurance card if applicable. Registration for the event is required.
