Chesterfield expands annual Trunk or Treat to ‘Spooktacular!’

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Trunk or Treat is returning to Chesterfield County this Halloween season with a different name — and a few more festivities.

"Spooktacular!" is the expanded version of the annual Trunk or Treat event featuring fun activities and lots of candy, said Chesterfield Parks and Recreation.

The event will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 28, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., at River City Sportsplex, located at 13030 Genito Road.

Trick-or-treaters can expect candies, food vendors, music, bounce houses and haunted train rides on the RVA Express, organizers said. Attendees are invited to dress up in their Halloween costumes.

The event is free and open to all ages. Glass, alcohol and pets are not permitted.
