Chesterfield Police search for suspects after man injured in Christmas morning shooting

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Police are looking for four suspects in a Christmas morning shooting that left one person injured in Chesterfield County.

At around 7:06 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 25, officers with the Chesterfield County Police Department responded to the 2700 block of Martingale Road.

Upon arrival, officers located a man in an apartment who was suffering from a gunshot injury. He was transported to an area hospital and is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are looking for four suspects who are all described as males wearing dark clothing.

Officials said the shooting appears to be a targeted incident and there is no ongoing threat to the community.

Chesterfield Police continue to investigate the incident. No other information is available at this time.
