Chesterfield Schools to offer lunches to children at Chesterfield Farmers Market
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Chesterfield Farmers Market will take place on Wednesday, with Chesterfield County Public Schools offering lunch to children.
The Chesterfield Farmers Market will take place on Wednesday, July 2 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 6701 Mimms Loop in Chesterfield.
Chesterfield County Public Schools will provide lunches for children under the age of 18, with meals for adults served for $9 cash or check, according to a Facebook post. The July 2 market will feature over 25 vendors and three food trucks.
The farmer's market began May 7 and stretches through Sept. 24 -- it occurs every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
According to Chesterfield County, the products featured at the market are locally grown and picked at the peak of the season for maximum nutrients.
