Chesterfield welcomes newest playground, ‘A Playground for Katie & Friends’
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Chesterfield County welcomed its newest playground, "A Playground for Katie & Friends," on Monday, April 21 at Huguenot Park.
Yesterday, a ceremony was held with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony to welcome the new inclusive park to Chesterfield County.
The park is designed so that children of all abilities and ages can play and access all that the playground has to offer. The playground also features accessible wheelchair pathways, 15 new benches, a variety of swing options and sensory-friendly activity areas.
