Crash causes sand to spill on I-85 in Dinwiddie County
DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Sand was spilled across part of Interstate 85 in Dinwiddie County in a crash Tuesday morning.
At around 6:34 a.m. on Tuesday, May 6, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) said drivers could expect delays on I-85 North, north of the Dinwiddie County Airport, due to a crash.
Virginia State Police said a pickup truck hauling sand hit the jersey wall next to the interstate, causing a spill. No injuries were reported.
As of 7:13 a.m., the left shoulder and left lane were closed, according to the department.
