Crash leaves utility lines down and compromised across lanes on West Broad Street

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A utility pole is compromised and lines are down across all lanes on West Broad Street at Hollybrook Avenue after a single vehicle crash.

According to Henrico County Police, West Broad Street is closed to all traffic both east and westbound between Parham Road to Skipwith Road as crews work to repair the damage.

Police stated that the crash occurred shortly before 7 p.m. when a vehicle crashed into a utility pole at the intersection of West Broad Street and Hollybrook Avenue.

The closure is estimated to go into midday Sunday--drivers are asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes.

This incident still remains under investigation.
