Donald Trump claims victory after he is projected to be the 47th US president
.................... (NEXSTAR) – Donald Trump is projected to win the presidency, defeating Kamala Harris to win a second, improbable term, according to a Decision Desk HQ projection on News Nation. The call was made after DDHQ projected Trump to have won both Pennsylvania and Alaska, giving him 270 electoral votes. "This was a movement like nobody's ever seen before," Trump said while addressing supporters in West Palm Beach, Florida. "We made history for a reason tonight, and the reason is going to be just that we overcame obstacles that nobody thought possible." It was a historic election with Trump becoming the first president in well over 100 years to lose a presidential election and then mount a successful presidential campaign in non-consecutive terms. The last to do it was President Grover Cleveland in 1892. The highly-anticipated contest follows a wild four years that included two assassination attempts against Trump, a mob of Trump supporters storming the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 and the late entry of Vice President Kamala Harris into the race.
