Driver killed in single-vehicle crash in Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Prince George County on Friday afternoon.

Just before 1:15 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 17, officers with the Prince George County Police Department were called to the 3100 block of Temple Avenue for a report of a single-vehicle crash.

When officers arrived, they found a vehicle that had crossed oncoming traffic lanes and hit a tree.

The driver, the only person in the vehicle, was taken by EMS to a nearby hospital with injuries considered life-threatening. They later died from their injuries.

Their identity is pending notification of next of kin.
