Early morning fire destroys Hanover home
HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A family is without a home following a house fire in the Mechanicsville area of Hanover County Thursday morning. On Thursday, Jan. 23 at 12:30 a.m., Hanover County firefighters responded to a house fire on the 7400 block of River Valley Road. Hanover County Fire Chief Chris Anderson said two people and a dog were inside the home when the fire started. Two people were able to escape, but the dog did not.
