Electric unicyclist killed in Chesterfield crash, thrown from unicycle

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A person riding an electric unicycle was killed in a crash in Chesterfield County on Thursday. Just before 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9, officers with the Chesterfield County Police Department were called to the 5700 block of U.S. Route 1 for report of a crash involving an electric unicycle and a truck. When they arrived, responding officers found the unidentified victim down in the roadway. They had been thrown from their unicycle, according to police. They were taken to a local hospital, where they later died as a result of their injuries.
