Final community meeting to be held about Henry Clay Elementary School site

ASHLAND, Va. (WRIC) -- There will be a second and final community meeting held on Wednesday to hear opinions from residents about the future of the Henry Clay Elementary School building site.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 5 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Henry Clay Elementary School Gym located at 310 S. James St. in Ashland. Community members are invited to attend and provide their input about options for the site.

Henry Clay Elementary has closed following the opening of Ashland Elementary School, creating opportunities that the town of Ashland has described as repurposing, renovating or redeveloping. This includes the school building itself as well as the gym, sports fields and other areas.
