Fire sparked by equipment burns through Chesterfield home

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Firefighters battled a Chesterfield County house fire reportedly sparked by equipment on Tuesday. Around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10, crews with Chesterfield County Fire and EMS responded to a house fire in the 11600 block of Buckhurst Street. The crews that arrived on the scene saw smoke coming from the front door of the house. Firefighters were able to get the fire under control in 15 minutes. Fire officials said the fire is believed to have been started by a piece of equipment being used to refinish the floors.
