Flash flood warning issued for Richmond area

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Flash flood warnings have been issued for some Richmond localities on Saturday.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), the warning will be in effect until 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, July, 12, in the following metro Richmond localities:

  • City of Richmond
  • Chesterfield County
  • Henrico County
  • Hanover County

A warning will be in effect until 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, in the following localities:

  • City of Richmond
  • Chesterfield County
  • Henrico County

A flash flood warning means that impacted localities may experience sudden flooding due to heavy rain.
