Full schedule unveiled for Richmond Folk Festival

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The full schedule has been unveiled for the 21st year of the Richmond Folk Festival, which celebrates American culture through music, dance and traditional crafts in October.

According to a Sept. 11 release shared by Venture Richmond, the festival, which has become one of Virginia's largest and most cherished events, will run from Oct. 10 to Oct. 12.

The free festival hosts over 200,000 people over a three-day weekend and features six stages.

Per the release, the festival announced the schedule on Sept. 11.

The following is the new performance schedule:

• Virginia Folklife Area and Riverlore
• Center for Cultural Vibrancy Stage
• Family Area, Produced by the Children’s Museum
• Richmond Folk Festival in Schools

Per a release, these programs are due to sponsors, especially its school shows partner, JAMinc, who provides transportation, audio support and local on-site coordination.
