Gloucester Co. man arrested, believed to have unlawfully filmed thousands of men: Police

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) - A Gloucester County man was arrested on Aug. 2 after reports of unlawful filming in a public bathroom in the area of South Henry Street and Duke of Gloucester Street, according to police.
Williamsburg officers contacted the Criminal Investigations Bureau, who were able to obtain multiple search warrants.
As a result of the investigation, George Thomas West was arrested and taken into custody on 17 counts of unlawful filming of another person and one count of disorderly conduct.
Police say West is believed to have filmed thousands of men in public bathrooms in the Colonial Williamsburg area since 1996. Officers further explained he would primarily operate in the city on Saturdays.
Many victims have not yet been identified.
