Goochland County to vote in special election for Virginia’s 10th Senate District seat

GOOCHLAND COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Goochland County residents will be able to cast their votes for the January 2025 Special Election starting Friday, Dec. 27. Voting will be available at the county's Office of the General Registrar, located at 1876 Sandy Hook Rd. until Saturday, Jan. 4, at 5 p.m. For a full list of the office's open hours, visit the Goochland County website. The special election was called for in an order from Dec. 11, in response to the resignation of John McGuire from the 10th Senate District seat in the State Senate. McGuire resigned from his position after winning Virginia's 5th Congressional District race to replace Rep. Bob Good (R-Va.) in November.
