Greensville County Sheriff’s and Emporia police host 28th National Drug Take-Back

GREENSVILLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) – The 28th National Drug Take-Back Initiative is to try and prevent prescription medications from getting in the wrong hands.

On April 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Drug Take-Back Initiative event will be held at the Walmart, located at 303 Market Drive in Emporia.

In a Facebook post from the Greensville County Sheriff’s Office, the citizens from Greensville County and the City of Emporia will have an opportunity to drop off any unused prescription medications.

Many people don’t know what to do with medications that hasn’t been used or has expired, this initiative is to help prevent unused medications from falling into the wrong hands.
