Hanover County launches online platform for community engagement

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Hanover County has launched a new online engagement platform for the community to learn more about projects in the county and offer suggestions.

According to Hanover County, the new interactive platform will be used as a place where county residents can be informed of community initiatives, provide commentary in surveys and tour interactive maps.

"This tool makes it easier than ever for our citizens to get involved and participate directly in shaping the County’s future,” said County Administrator John A. Budesky. "Engage Hanover will enhance community engagement by offering a single, user-friendly space where residents can stay updated and contribute to the decision-making process."

Projects and surveys that are open currently for public feedback can include:

  • Small Area Plan for the Route 33 Gateway
  • Master Plan for Hanover County Municipal Airport
  • Intersection upgrade projects

An additional feature of the platform is the "Hanover's Talking About" section, where residents can ask questions and receive answers regarding projects and developments in the county.
