Hanover County searching for nominations for two open School Board seats
HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Hanover County Board of Supervisors is searching to fill two open seats for the School Board in April.
Residents of either the South Anna or Cold Harbor districts who want to be considered for a seat must nominate themselves or be nominated by others during the public hearing for Hanover County's Board of Supervisors at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9.
According to the county government, voting will take place at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, after supervisors review the nominations and conduct interviews.
The School Board, which is comprised of seven members who serve alternate four-year terms, is responsible for setting policy for the Hanover County Public School system.
